Generally speaking, suffice it
to say that Markus Altena
Davidsen is Tolkien-based
spirituality's Hero. No one's
done more to validate it that
Dr. Davidsen. Using the
scientific method, he picked the
Legendarium apart; discovering
that the properties of the
sacred liturgy of all of the
world's major religions are
therein abundantly evident as
well. Reading his work will
quickly clarify that statement;
beginning with his doctoral
dissertation.

The Religious

Examines how fictional

of religious interpretation
and practice. Davidsen argues
that features such as detailed
cosmology, pseudo-history,
internally authoritative
voices, supernatural beings,
textual gaps, and connections
between the fictional world
and the reader’s world can
give a story an “aura of
factuality.” Tolkien’s
Legendarium is therefore
studied as a text whose
structure can invite readers
to treat Middle-earth not

As the Enriched Format
teaches, "...calmly,
in order to literally
set the tone..., say,
“Hmmmm”, (just as you
would if you were
pondering something).
Give attention to the
first tone that you
express when doing so;
that is the base musical
tone to which your body
is presently attuned."Use that first tone;
it's the one your body most
prefers to use for
monophonic chanting/intoning
at any time. If the pitch of
the polyphonic demos is too
high, or low, that's the
fix; use that technique
to zero in on your note,
then sing in the key that
feels best.
Valar Music
Drones
As noted in other documents,
the primary difference between
Tië eldaliéva and Elven
Spiritual Path is the latter's
musicality; (immediately
evident in the above different
intoning methods). The
Legendarium makes it very
clear, "...the Music is over
all"; so, ESP explores the
Path's Harmonic properties,
values, and potentials. In the
course of learning from the
Valar how to do so, one of the
first steps was to determine
which tone of the C Major
scale may apply to each Valar
pair. Manwe provided the
necessary instruction; based
on his guidance, the below
drones were produced to enable
Eldalie to both experience an
aural atmosphere that's
tonally aligned with the
Valar, and to have a symbolic
focus as well when doing so.

simply for a general
